The applicant for this position should possess organizational skills and knowledge of procedures for handling disasters and must be willing to obtain Kansas State certification. The pay for this position will be based on the experience held by the individual hired.

Blade Operator/Truck Driver

This person also will be working road maintenance when required. 40 hour work week, benefit package included. Must obtain CDL within 3 months of employment.

Nemaha County Sherriff's Office has an opening for a full-time position for a
Deputy Sherriff

Starting pay is based upon certification and experience. Experience is NOT REQUIRED to apply! Benefits: Health Insurance, KPERS, Deferred Compensation, Vacation and Sick Leave. Job duties: Patrolling Nemaha County and performing law enforcement duties as needed which are including, but not limited to: Investigating complaints, enforcing State and County laws, investigating motor vehicle crashes and other incidents; identifying and collecting evidence found at crime scenes and documenting the same; and making arrests as necessary. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and psychological exam. Applicants must be a Kansas Certified Officer or willing to obtain certification.
